Purpose: The study intended to test the impact of an auditory-hallucination management program on the behavior of schizophrenia patients in managing their auditory hallucination. Design: Quasi-experimental research Methods: Thirty schizophrenia patients with auditory hallucination sykptom were purposively selected and assigned to the experimental and control group, each group included 15 persons. The instruments in the study consist of 1) the demographic data, 2) an interviewing to assess the auditory hallucination symptoms, and 3) an interviewing to assess the management their auditory hallucination symptoms, and 4) the auditory-hallucination management program. The experimental group received the auditory-hallucination management program for 6 sessions each session took 1-2 hours, with the total of 3 times per weeks. The control group received the hospital standard care. Data were collected pre and post intervention. They were compared pre and post, and between the two groups. Main findings: 1. After receiving the auditory-hallucination symptom management program, the schizophrenia patients had a statistical significant higher mean score of behavior in their auditory hallucination management than before receiving the program (t = -8.36, p‹ .001). 2. The schizophrenia patients receiving the auditory-hallucination symptom management program had a statistical significant higher mean score of management behavior than those who did not receive the program (t = -4.48, p<.001). Conclusion: Results showed that the program could increase patients' ability in management of auditory hallucination. Therefore, the prigram should be one alternative treatment for personnel for lessening patients' auditory hallucination. The program could be used in patients daily life and they would be better for the quality of life.
