Therapeutic community is a new rehabilitation modality that emphasizes behavioral change of drug abusers by peer pressure and group therapy. The process is time consuming and tether costly, but effective in prevention of repeated addiction a swell as crime, since the abusers will be kept for a certain period that deprives them of going back to the motivating environment to drug abuse.
