The percept-genetic method is a projective technique for description of personality and diagnosis. This method has its tradition at University of Lund Sweden. Tests that used this method are Defense Mechanism Test (DMT) and tachistoscope presented of object relation themes. The exposure time being gradually prolonged within a series, Therefore, the threat conceptually linked with the theme of the picture actually presented is considered by the subject as "actually present" and he has to take prompt measures to cope with it. These measures are expressed as reproduced perceptual configuration the subject task is to verbalized and sketch what he saw after each presentation. This method has been used among many group of subjects in Sweden for many years and at present time it has also been used in cross-cultural study.
