From January to December 1997 the total of 25 family in “Families Therapy Clinic” were studied. The responds of 104 show that none of the patients and their family members knew the actual meaning of “Family therapy” 57 responds (55%) partly understand the meaning. The patients and their members of 7 families (28%) have concurrence perspectives toward the family problem. While 17 families (68%) – the patients and their members – and therapists have concurrence perspectives. The family problems are parent-child relationships (46%), spouse relationships (25%), mental disorder or other medical conditions matters (16%) and siblings relationships (13%) The result of the study revealed that readiness of patients and their family members before attending “Family Therapy Clinic” is necessary. It is also confirmed that to understand the actual problems and get appropriate solutions needed additional informations from family members beside the patients themselves. Mental health problems mostly involved with relationships in family subsystems, thus to improve the relationship among family members is very important.
