The objective of this study was to examine the effect of vocational rehabilitation program by shelter workshop at Srithanya Hospital (Friend Shop) on 6 skills' comperency of psychiatric patients. Twenty-seven psychiatric patients were assessed by the measurement of psychosocial Rehabilitation Development Center of Srithanya Hospital at baseline and 6 months later. The measurement consisted of 6 skills including personal hygiene, domestic, social, work, leisure and community living skills. The results showed significant improvement of all skills' competency. By conclusion, the effectiveness of vocational rehabilitation program by shelter workshop at Srithanya Hospital (Friend Shop) appeared to improve 6 skills' competency especially on work and social skills.
