A analysis of 34,762 prescriptions from 10 general hospitals were made and found that 13.61% of the prescriptions were psychotropic. And the ration of psychotropic drugs used between male: female = 3:5. There were no significant differences in using psychotropic drugs between the hospital which have psychiatric unit or not. But in the hospital which have psychiatric unit significantly used pruely psychotropic drug more than the other.The forst en common psychotropic drugs used in general hospital were diazepam, lorazepam, meprobamate, dipotassium chlorazepate, perphenazine, chlodiazeposide, trifluoperazine, amitryptyline and phenobarbital.
