รายละเอียด / Details:

Objective: To predict drug-addicted adolescents' adjustment from self-efficacy and social support. Method: Fifty-five drug-addicted adolescents and their caregivers who sought treatment at the outpatient unit in the North-Eastern Drug Department Treatment Center, Khon Kean Province, were selected as the sample of the study. The model was assessed with the self-efficacy scale (Schwarzer, 1993), the social support scale (Broadhead, et al, 1988), and the adjustment scale (Billings & Moos, 1981) using path analysis with LISREL 7.2 (Joreskig & Sorbom, 1988). Results: The findings revealed that adolescents' self-efficacy and social support have a direct effect on adjustment. On the other hand, caregivers' self-efficacy and social support have an indirect effect on adolescents' adjustment. Conclusions: There is a need for improvement of self-efficacy and social support which could benefit drug-addicted adolescent's adjustment.
