This report is purposed to review 2 pediatric patients diagnosed as having bipolar disorder in Srithanya hospital. By retrospective chart reviews, 2 children age 11, 13 diagnosed as having bipolar disorder and followed for 4 years, in child psychiatric clinic Srithanya Hospital. Results: Both have mood disorder. Girl is Bipolar type I with multiple suicidal attempts and severe functional impairment. Boy is ADHD with chronic severe irritability, frewuent outbursts that better accounted for by Bipolar NOS. Multidisciplinary approach applied to ameliorate their symptoms. Conclusion: There is increased recognition that child and adolescent can experience adult bipolar disorder. Symptoms may differ from those in adulthood. The prevalence in adolescence is approximately 1%. Course appears to be chronic and significantly associated with poor outcom. Accurate diagnosis leads to the effective treatment. Multidisciplinary team approach can maximize the chances of successful clinical outcame in the report.
